BE GREAT

America's youth are facing major obstacles - from a high school drop-out crisis, to rising rates of childhood obesity, teen pregnancy and gang violence. Boys & Girls Clubs of America's BE GREAT campaign focuses on our Clubs' commitment to tackling these problems through proven programs that help young people realize their full potential.

Leading the charge of the initial focus of this clever and inspiring campaign is BGCA's national spokesperson, Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington. Joining Washington are Boys & Girls Club alumni Muhammad Ali, Swin Cash, Bill Clinton, Bill Cosby, Cuba Gooding Jr., Shaquille O'Neal, Martin Sheen, Wesley Clark, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Michael Jordan, Queen Latifah, Mario Lopez, John Mellencamp, Edward James Olmos, Smokey Robinson, John Singleton, Ruben Studdard, Usher, Courtney Vance, Mark Wahlberg, Kerry Washington and Joe DiMaggio. These well-known people will be complemented by continuing phases of the campaign featuring local everyday heroes who trace their success to the early influence of Clubs.

Help us spread the word.  Take a few moments to download BE GREAT wallpaper for your computer or add a BE GREAT badge to your e-mail. Boys & Girls Clubs are where many kids receive the support and guidance they need to BE GREAT!
